Daberas Farm borders Augrabies Falls National Park, about 56 km from Augrabies. The trail is suitable for 4×2 – if you skip the steep climb in the beginning section – and 4×4 vehicles. The terrain is predominantly rocky with a few challenging dry riverbed sections. You’ll climb the Xami Tree Canyon on its ascent of the Swartberg until you reach the lookout point with breaktaking views of dunes, the Orange River Valley and Namibia in the distance. It’s also a great outing for families.
From Augrabies, drive west on the R359. The road becomes gravel after the turn-off to the Augrabies Falls. After 38 km turn right at the T-Junction and follow the road to Daberas reception.
